Specify the Number of Broadcast Name Resolution Attempts (Windows 95/98/Me) Category: Home > Network > Protocols
This setting controls the number of attempts to resolve a NetBIOS name using a broadcast query. Open your registry and find the key below. Create a new string value (or DWORD for Windows 95), called "BcastNameQueryCount" and set it to equal the number of attempts. Restart Windows for the change to take effect.
